We made the choice several years ago to move to Lake Elmo. This meant our children could grow up in a community with a storied history, have access to great outdoor activities and quality local businesses, and they could help to write the next chapter of Lake Elmo's history with the help of the rest of our community.
I am in my second term as a Lake Elmo Planning Commissioner, I am a citizen representative for the 3M PFC Settlement Workgroup, and I served on the Stillwater School District's Community Design Team as a Lake Elmo city planning representative.
For the last three years I have worked at the Minnesota Department of Education. I created and now manage the test security program to help ensure the security and integrity of statewide assessments for our students.
I taught in the Minnesota region of Teach for America and have managed state programs related to quality assurance, state and federal compliance, and program auditing for over a decade. My priorities as a civil servant have always been to prioritize how best we can serve the public today and in the future.
I love golfing with my family and friends, I am an avid gopher sports fan, I am in a gospel vocal quartet group at my local church, and spend as much time as possible being a father and husband for my family.
I hold an active Minnesota teaching license in 5-12 Social studies, I have a Master's in Teaching Degree from Hamline University, and a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota
